UK Bed Sizes – Frame & Mattress Dimensions GuideBed sizes can vary depending on the design and style of the frame. If you're unsure whether a particular bed will fit your space, feel free to ask for guidance.As a general rule:- Sleigh beds tend to be longer due to their curved headboard and footboard.
- Wingback beds are usually wider because of their upholstered wings.
- Fabric designer beds with square frames are typically more compact.
- Adding gas-lift ottoman storage to a slatted frame increases the bed’s length by approximately 1–2 inches (3–5cm).
