UK Bed Sizes – Bed Dimensions GuideBed dimensions can vary depending on the design, so if you’re unsure whether a particular frame will fit your room, please feel free to ask. As a general rule:- Sleigh beds tend to be longer.
- Wingback beds are usually wider due to their extended headboards.
- Square-frame Fabric Designer Beds are more compact.
- Adding gas-lift ottoman storage to a slatted bed frame typically increases the overall length by 1–2 inches (3–5 cm).
The standard UK mattress sizes are:
3ft Single, 4ft Small Double, 4ft6 Double, 5ft King Size, and 6ft Super King Size.
