UK Bed Sizes – Bed Dimensions GuideBed frame dimensions vary depending on the design, so please contact us if you’re unsure whether a particular style will fit your room. Generally:- Sleigh beds are longer due to their curved headboard and footboard.
- Wingback beds are wider because of their winged headboard design.
- Square-frame Fabric Designer Beds tend to be the most compact.
- Adding ottoman gas-lift storage to a slatted frame increases the overall bed length by approximately 1–2 inches (3–5 cm).
The standard UK mattress sizes are:
3ft Single, 4ft Small Double, 4ft6 Double, 5ft King Size, and 6ft Super King Size.
These measurements apply to the mattress size only. Bed frames will differ slightly in outer dimensions, but all our frames are built to fit standard UK mattresses.
